Easy sugar cookies

We love the recipes we can make with ingredients that are probably already in our kitchen! Sugar cookies are made in a jiffy, and the whole family will have fun decorating them.

 Preparation time: 15 min
 Cooking time: 10 min



1 cup (250 g) white sugar

1 cup (250 g) butter

1 C. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 well-beaten eggs

2 1/2 cups (625 g) all-purpose flour

2 c. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 tsp. 1 tsp (2.5 g) salt


1 tsp (2.5 g) salt

1 1/2 cups (375 g) icing sugar

tsp. (45 g) milk

1/8 tsp. 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

3 drops of food coloring (optional)



Using a blender, beat the sugar, butter, and vanilla for about 2 minutes until you get a creamy mixture. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each egg.

In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the dry ingredients into the creamy mixture.

Roll out cookie dough to 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) thick on a lightly floured work surface. For best results, do not roll the dough too thin. Use cookie cutters of your choice to cut different shapes of cookies. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake at 350 ° F (356 ° F ) for 10 minutes or until the underside of the cookies is golden brown.


Mix the icing sugar and milk to the desired consistency. Add food coloring (optional) or leave the frosting white. Using a pastry brush, brush the frosting over the cooled cookies and decorate them with colored sugar, toasted coconut or sliced almonds, and chocolate shavings or chocolate chips.


Makes about 4 dozen cookies, depending on the size of the cookie cutter.
